Please help or advise - Can't find a record of birth
« on: Thursday 16 April 15 00:00 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am having a nightmare locating a birth record for Edith Irene Taylor born 1914 I believe. She was adopted in 1914 as a Whitlock and was reregistered as Edith Irene Taylor. I think she was born is Sussex or Surrey.  ??? I have spent many hours on ancestry looking for the record to no avail.

The aforementioned elusive record is driving me crazy  >:(

If you are able to assist me in anyway, you help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Jo

You are an a salute legend I have spent two night and around 3-4 hours searching for this. I can bring this up on ancestry but I am now going to send off for the birth certificate and see if I can establish who her mum was? It's always puzzled our family and left a bit of a black cloud over them.

Thank you :D

I hope you are not ordering the certificate through Ancestry? Order direct from the GRO for 9.25 GBP http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

From what I can see so far Ancestry don't seem to have any Taylor's from the Dec 1/4 of 1914.
