That'll be tricky if Enid wasn't her real name.

Have you found the children's birth registrations on FreeBMD to identify their mother's maiden name?
Ayr: Barnes, Wylie
Caithness: MacGregor
Essex: Eldred (Pebmarsh)
Gloucs: Timbrell (Winchcomb)
Hants: Stares (Wickham)
Lincs: Maw, Jackson (Epworth, Belton)
London: Pierce
Suffolk: Markham (Framlingham)
Surrey: Gosling (Richmond)
Wilts: Matthews, Tarrant (Calne, Preshute)
Worcs: Milward (Redditch)
Yorks: Beaumont, Crook, Moore, Styring (Huddersfield); Middleton (Church Fenton); Exley, Gelder (High Hoyland); Barnes, Birchinall (Sheffield); Kenyon, Wood (Cumberworth/Denby Dale)

Do you know Leonard's birth and death dates, please?

Do you know if the children were actually born in Sutton Coldfield, as there are not that many with 3 children Robinson/and the same mother's maiden name, 1945 to 1960, and they do not cross-reference for a Leonard marriage in Sutton Coldfield.

Does Leonard have a middle name?

Hi Birth Apr to June 1898. Death 1974.
Not sure where married or kids born just that family lived in Sutton Coldfield. Info 3rd hand from another side of Robinson line whose lost touch also.

Looked for marriages since 1940 and then for Robinson kids with same mother. Drew a blank. Thought I'd try roots chat in case I'm missing something.
Marriage post ww2 based on Leonard on absent voters midland electoral though 1930s but no "Enid" and in 1945 I believe I have him at Thimble Mill in Birmingjam with a Joseph W Robinson who I believe is my Grandads younger brother. Leonards mum was Grandads half sister.

My link is Leonard grandfather is my great grandfather. Grandads brothers were unknown to me until I started the tree and my "Irish grandad" turned out to be from Birmingham.. Sadly Grandad died when I was 1 and my mum around same time.. My living Irish relatives don't know anything about what happened to his brothers or mother.

Looking for Leonards line as he was still in touch with Joseph in 1945 when both in their early - mid 40s. Does his decendants (if i can find them) know anything

Martin

PS to last post. From a very old photo, I'd say Leonards 2 boys were older than their sister

So he died as Leonard Robinson in Birmingham, Jun qtr 1974, DOB given as 1 May 1898?

An online tree has this man as a son of Harriet Esther Robinson, with one sister Doris May b 1900.  Is that consistent with what you know? (Perhaps it is your tree?)

Can't see a Sutton Coldfield link, though.

His RAF records (1923-1929) show that his role was as a hospital orderly, having previously been a civilian male nurse in a Birmingham hospital.  He travelled widely with the RAF, serving in Iraq, Palestine etc.

Born 1 May 1898 Saltley, Birmingham.

No marriage shown.  Next of kin was his aunt Mrs E Allington, of 76 Church Lane, Aston, Birmingham.

The online data you find is correct. Taken forever to glean the info found. A bit of luck and a connection to 2 distant lines that come out of Leonards grandfather William Thomas Robinson, born 1848 died 1914.
Leonard the last person I can find who was in touch with my Grandads immediate family.
Sutton info comes via decendants of Doris.. Who are not now in touch with Leonards decendants. They are separately trying to check via another line who they have kept in touch with and whose father was a close friend of Leonard
