As far as Cornwall is concerned, nothing has changed there (regarding thinking of themselves different) for hundreds of years! It's not a new thing! ;D

I was on holiday in Cornwall in the 70's, when I overheard this conversation between 2 men in a pub:

"Where you going Saturday?"

"I'm going England, shopping" (He was going to Plymouth!)

I do think it a little sad though if different parts of the country want to keep breaking away to do "Their own thing" Pretty soon there will be nothing left. Just my opinion.

I agree Trish  :)

Skoosh.

I was born in  West Sussex, England. I don't know, is my country England or Sussex, am I English or Sussexish  ;) ;D

By the way must go to Specsavers.  I thought those were poppies on the Rootschat Banner.  Was thinking how quickly the months fly by - Remembrance Day again, seems like only 5 months ago!!!

They are poppies. Tomorrow is ANZAC day (100th anniversary).

But not British, Jane?! ;D

Thereby lies the problem - how many people consider themselves to be British?

KG,  therein lies a problem.  My mother is from Southern Ireland.  Am  I half Irish or completely English as I was born here.  To be perfectly honest I don't care either way!

Oh, silly me.  Yes I did hear mention of that somewhere ;D
