What defines a real Cornish Pasty? I love the pasties we get in Devon but don't suppose they ars same, also like Ginsters.I suppose you can only get them in Cornwall.

Cornish Pasty has been give a protected status - PDO and to now be called a real Cornish Pasty must adhere to certain criteria including the recipes, how it is crimped and where it is made ie in Cornwall.

That's what I put in mine but my pastry doesn't look like that. They look like the ones we get in Devon. Yummy.

I did think a pasty had minced lamb in it, though I usually  put beef in mine. Lamb is tastier have used it.

Strike last post. It's not minced anything. It's finely diced meat.

A little chopped fresh parsley as the final ingredient in a pasty is delicious.
