As a latecomer to the party, I've only picked up occasional mentions of the Clifton Browns, and (I think) mention of them in Hitcham, Bucks; also Burnham Beeches - plus there have been a few in nearby Berkshire. This photo is giving me the impression of the Chilterns, Home Counties etc, and I wonder if that might be where to look...?

Am thinking somewhere like the Bourneville Village. Perhaps originally a community building or a hospital or childrens home
This post is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws. Unfortunately my preferred method of writing (Parker Quink on Basildon Bond) cannot be used.

I think an Arts and Crafts Mock Tudor.

This one http://www.zoopla.co.uk/property-history/tudor-house/bell-lane/broxbourne/en10-7ha/31647374 was in a Daily Mail article comparing it to the style of Libertys in London.

I've just read all the posts to this one and realised that nobody has yet mentioned the good gentleman patiently waiting at the front corner of the building.
Caz, can we have a closer scan please, his clothing/uniform may help date the photo or connect it to others ... or someone might even recognise him  ;D

Sorry Sugarbakers, I missed this request.  I'm scanning a few more in a minute, so I'll dig this one out and scan the chap.

Bumping this off page 3

I still check out the Tudor houses as I wander past number 12 and the Thatched cottage while heading to churches 39 and 158

Thanks for that dg.

I'd forgotten how nice this house is, I do hope it still exists although I don't think we can expect it to be in an area not built up.

Good evening,

I am of the belief that this is still rural with 1 or 2 others close by. I was looking at it again recently and suddenly thought "I've been in that house". I'm 90% sure it was one of my Xmas hamper delivery stops last year.

The problem is that I don't have a list of all my calls so am having to search around from memory. Not so good as it was a few years ago unfortunately.

One of the things I have noticed is most seem to have been converted to hotels/pubs/B&Bs etc

Would that have been it John?
