Searching for my half brothers - Help!!!
« on: Tuesday 28 April 15 15:29 BST (UK) »
Hi There,
I have been actively searching for my half brothers from my dads second marriage and I am at a loss on my other options to go. I was wondering if I can be provided with some help or suggestions on what I could possibly do to find them. Problem is, I am not sure what their last name is now since they divorced, I believe they are using their moms maiden name and I am not sure what that is to 100% but I have a bit of an idea. Our father is not in the picture so he is no help at all

Can I please be provided any ideas of what I can do??

Thanks so much in advance

Hello SweetPea777,

Welcome to RootsChat :)

RootsChat is meant for finding ancestors, rather than living relatives.

People here will be able to give you general tips and hints how to proceed, but not any concrete details, as we don't publish details of living persons.

You will also find some tips and links here, where you can search further:

Good luck,
Bob

Hi

If we are talking England or Wales, you may be able to find their births on Freebmd as presumably if their parents were married at the time, they would have been registered under his name. This will give the mother's maiden name. From that you may be able to find them on electoral registers.

Good luck.
