Deansrath - Help?
« on: Sunday 03 May 15 12:20 BST (UK) »
Could someone please help me? - I am trying to locate "Deansrath" - on a map. I seem to be going around in circles. Every map seems to send me to Danesfort.
I have Burns, Cummins ancestors who were baptised, the records state Deansrath.

Any suggestions or clarification would be appreciated.
Thanks

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

That was Deansrath, which you asked for!

This is Danesrath, Co Kilkenny...  http://www.logainm.ie/en/27250?s=Danesrath  which you didn't ask for :-))

Hi,
Deansrath is in Clondalkin, it's just out side the M50. This is not in the area you are looking for.

Deansrath Co Kilkenny is in Knocktopher Parish.

Spelled Danesrath on this link

See 2nd  map included on this link - Danesrath is situated north east of Knocktopher  - you have to scroll a bit to see it.

Thanks to all (Hallmark, Maggsie, conahy calling) who replied - I appreciate your time.

One little extra question, can anyone explain the Baptismal record quoting Deansrath? Transcription was done for me... by a genealogist.
Is this a common mistake?
