Dimitted/Dimission German Marriage
« on: Friday 08 May 15 13:33 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know what the term dimission means in the context of a German marriage certificate.

The dimission was from Büren to Lippstadt and was entered after the wedding itself. The couple were dimitted to the Parish of Lippstadt on 26 October, but the marriage itself on 19 October in Lippstadt.

Hi wikitoria

just seen your ancient post ::)

A dimission was the permission for a parish member to marry in another parish
