More information required. Was he a Scot? Did he die in war and which one? You must have some rough idea of when and where he was born and died? And then his name would be needed to take all that further.

Are you talking about the regiment based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada? If so, I am in Canada and may be able to help.

Hello jennifer28,
The Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (A&SH) are based in Stirling Castle, Stirling, Scotland. They now form the 5th Battalion of The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
As IMBER has posted, we would need a bit more information. My grandfather served in the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders during WW1. I was lucky enough to find his service records (on Ancestry) but I already knew his age, date he enlisted & date of his death in 1917. (Killed in Action, Arras, France)
               Regards,     Dod.

In order to apply for his service record from the MOD - assuming he served after August 1920 - you will need a copy of his death certificate. They normally want his 7 or 8 digit army number also. But occasionally they will accept his DoB and regiment.
