Did he have any brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, etc.?

The above would be born in 1890 not in 1881. Have looked at the image for this record and the age given is 19, occupation  - Fireman

Hi Sandra,

A very warm welcome to Rootschat!

Here is a link to the passenger list for John McPhee's sister Marion Wlison & her son William aged 11 months aboard the 'Numidian' from Glasgow to Boston Massachusetts in 1910: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:23FG-BZP

Her husband Walter's passenger list record, also aboard the 'Numidian' in 1909, same address in Paisley given as on the passenger list for Marion, namely 13, Argyle St, Paisley: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:23FG-CY6

Here is a passenger list for John & Marion's father James Mcphee in 1928 aged 70, presumably having visited Scotland. Aboard the 'Cameronia' from Glasgow to Boston. Apparently naturalized in 1914 in Dedham, Massachusetts: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:23X5-PJM

The above three records are within the record set 'Massachusetts, Boston Passenger Lists, 1891-1943 on familysearch. The original images are available by clicking on the 'View the document' button on the right hand side.

As yet nothing found for James McPhee's first voyage to the USA or for John McPhee's emigration either. I shall keep looking and let you know if I find anything!

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

David
