I am researching early photographers and am trying to find details about Charles Pembroke Gearing (b.1820 in Hammersmith). Baptised on 16 Aug 1820 (Father: John Brooke Gearing). I believe he married Emma Goodenough (b.1822 in Sunbury on Thames). He was a photographer living in Beresford Street, Lambeth in 1861 and in Cheshire in 1871. In 1881 he is a widow in East Molesey.
(They may have had a son named Henry?).

Charles John Gearing (b.1860 in Walworth, Surrey) is shown as their son.Baptised on 28 Dec 1860. He was a photographer at Gleneagle House, Gleneagle Road, Streatham in 1891. I believe he may have owned a number of studios, including 52 Regent Street, Westminster (1891).Emma Frances Gearing, is also shown here.
Charles John Gearing died on 14 Aug 1933 in East, Dulwich, Surrey.

Their is reference to a Charles Henry James Gearing (photographer) but I can find no entries for him.

Any assistance welcome - Regards Bobfilm :)

Henry marries Louisa Maria Hobbs 29 Sep 1885.  Henry is a gas fitter.

5 children listed in 1901

Henry C 13
Mamie F 12
William E 8
Louisa D 7
Walter R 4

Gone off track a bit there.  Henry seems to be a gas fitter profession.

Born in Hammersmith 1821.
Md Emma Frances (1821 - 1907).

Hi did not know if you required Charles Gearing prior to operating as a Photographer, but just in case:-

Charles Gearing 31 Unmarried occ Lithographer b Hammersmith is lodging at Stamford Street, Christchurch, St Saviour, Surrey in 1851 Census Ref HO107/1557/49/2

PS whilst using phonetic search I stumbled upon an Alfred Walter Lloyd Goring b c 1837 who worked at 97 Wardour Street in 1861 as a Photographer, following him onwards he was a Silver Printer Photographic if you were not aware of him, he started out as a Solicitors Clerk b St James, Middx Father William occ Tailor Mother Martha.
