I seen your post on Nolan’s in borris in ossory and I’m taking a long shot here. I’ve been searching for years on information on my mother’s family and in 2012 actually went to the town to find more information but I always hit a dead end.
We did a lot of research throughout the years and your grandparents are one family of interest that we have looked at but didn’t go into much detail with it until I seen this post.
My Mam and her mother Ann Nolan are both from borris in ossory and I believe Ann’s parents are also both from there. All I can go on is my Mother’s birth certificate which only states her mothers name. Over the years we have looked at Nolan’s in that area.
My mam was born in the county hospital in Mountmellick and then went to a county home for children.
We know that Ann was 22 when she was admitted in 1949 and we can’t get much more information on her. We searched the census in Ireland for the year 1911 to see if we could search for Ann’s parents and came across your grandparents Chris and Sarah who had a child in 1924 Annie Nolan. I am going by this date as I believe Ann was born in that year.
I’m sorry for all the information but as I said it’s a long shot that I’m taking here.
