Parents and relations of of Matilda Titza

I am seeking more information about Matilda TITZA, birth 27 Apr 1906 in or near Banstaple, 2q 1906 Barnstaple 5b 420.

Matilda TITZA married Albert Edward POW 1q 1925 Barnstaple 5b 755 and died 4q 1981 Barnstaple 21 0743.

I have no other details about her ancestors and hope you can help me again.

I suspect that the surname should be Titze.

I can see a  marraige in 1905, and they might have  decamped to the USA.

I have had another look at the FreeBMD entry which is printed in capitals; defiantly TITZA

This name is German and I think that you have found Matilda's parents.

Can you find out more?

I think you really need her birth certificate and that marriage certificate (if it is indeed her parents)

Hi the baptism of Matilda was 4th November 1908 born 27th April 1906 Holy Trinity, Barnstaple, Father Frederick occ Boots Mother Alice abode 12, Lions Place.

Odd that originally the name of Alice was Emma (could have been the previous mother of the child baptised above them) but crossed out and replaced by Alice, and the surname shown as Leoyne?/Seoyne?,crossed out and replaced by Titza?

Hi again, something odd about Alice and that crossed out Emma, Surname Leoyne?/Seoyne? also that address of either 9 or 12 Lions Place?!

Think the address is in fact Zions Place, Barnstaple, and Alice/Emma may have married bigamously?

Their was this marriage Albert Henry J SCOINS to Emma PULLEN June qtr 1897 Barnstaple 5b 901
And the 1906 to Frederick Gustav Titza of an Alice PULLING in Cornwall.

Note this Emma had a sister Alice b c 1885 Heanton Puchardon, but I believe she is in Surrey from a free search in 1911?
That Cornwall marriage is a must to purchase!

Thank you all for searching, I will have to obtain the marriage certificate for Matilda Titza and Albert Edward Pow to confirm your findings or not.

I will update when I have the certificate later in the year.

I have now; after such a long time; a copy of the Marriage Certificate for Matilda Titza & Albert Pow.

This has the father of Albert Pow as William Pow, labourer. - I am not sure if my research was correct as I have his father as Frederick George Pow who was an Army Pensioner when he died.

The father of Matilda Titza is given as August Frederick Titza (deceased)
Matilda was living at 6 Bradford? Road Pilton Barnstaple in Jan 1925 when they married.
Albert was at Queens Street Barnstaple.

Can you help me further now we have this Information?
