City Directory 1972 shows William and Helen Goddard at LaSalle MOntreal Quebec -  Apt 310 Rue Jean Brillon Street - also a son of the same name living here.

Lucy Goddard - (Lucy Anne Dukes-wife of John Goddard)

Lucy (Dukes) widow of John Goddardof St Johns River Saguernay County in the Province of Quebec died on the 12 th day and was buried on the 14 th August in the year of our Lord 1924 - aged 84 years.
Witnesses Charles Goddard and Allan Goddard.

John Goddard, fisherman of St Johns River Saugenay County Labrador Quebec died on the 29th and was buried on the 30 April 1922 - aged 82 years.
Witnesses - Edward Goddard and William Goddard.

There is a baptism - Lucy Ann Dukes daughter of William Evans and Mary Butler born 29 May 1842 and baptised (private baptism) 27 March 1862

There was a Lucy Ann Dukes on the 1861 census - Bonne Esperance Saguenay, Canada East. Lucy aged 21 years. No occupation or other details.

Page 14 - In the St. Paul’s River area there was an Inuit family composed of George Dukes and Jenny Menouque both of whom seem to have been “pure Eskimo.” The couple had 3 children - Mary, George and Andrew, and only one grand-daughter, Lucy Anne Dukes, who married John Goddard Jr. The name was carried on by their sons Charles (married to Selena Langmaid in 1890) and William (married to Catherine Thomas in 1918). By the 1960s there were 10 families descended from them (Goddards, Roberts and Keats).

There is an ancestry tree that says  - Jenny nee Menouque Dukes  (Inuk - 1799 - 1879) widow remarried a John Goddard Sr,  a native of England, but had no other child. John Goddard, a wealthy Englishman whose island was near Caribou - died before 1872

Reply 2 shows a son of Matthew and Lily - Harold Hamilton Roberts but the baptism records show Howard Hamilton infant son of Matthew Thomas Roberts, fisherman of St Pauls River and Lily Maud (Goddard) was born on the 21 st August 1915 and baptised 5 September the same year.

Witnesses Lily Maud Roberts and Laura Louise Goddard.
