Three masted Barque
« on: Saturday 16 May 15 23:14 BST (UK) »
Hello i have seen a photo of a three masted Barque up against the cliffs allegedly near Rhoscolyn Head by the activity in the photo she may have been pulled off when unloaded. That is why i can't find her in any list of shipwrecks, i can't post an attachment as it's not my photo. If anybody knows the maritime history of Rhoscolyn please get in touch, if possible i would like to know the name of the ship and the year. DavE Hughes.

Manchester Courier 18 Dec 1887
A telegram from Holyhead reports the barque "Hjemlos" bound from Belfast went ashore on Rhoscolwon (sic) point yesterday and is a total loss. The crew were rescued ....

There's a mention of the Norwegian barque "Hjemlos" and the Rhoscolyn lifeboat in 1887 in the North Wales Expresss, 12 Sep 1902 (Welshnewspapersonline)

Possibility?

If you check the free site "Welshnewspapersonline" also use search key "bjemlos" (OCR misread) for an item in the Carnarvon & Denbigh Herald, 26 Oct 1888
