Is there any way we can get more info on the death of Catherine Hurley, buried in Kensal Green cemetery ? She was buried in a public grave and apparentley there is no headstone for her, as we were told that other people have been buried in the same grave since then (?)
I feel pretty sure she was Cornelius' wife, because of the age and approx time of birth.

Is she the one whose death was registered in Strand reg district in December qtr 1884 age 53 making her birth c 1831  :-\

Yes Rosie, it is the same Catherine.

I think that she may be the Catherine Hurley who was born in North America, widow of Timothy Hurley (whose father was Daniel Hurley)

I have just re-run the link through my security programme with no problems but I have put a note on my original post about AVG not liking it.

Good morning everyone  :D

In my search for Cornelius Hurley/Harley, I should have mentioned that we are also related ( again not sure how ) to Archbishop Denis Hurley, who was a well-known priest/political figure here in South Africa.
His family were originally from Skibereen in Cork, Ireland, and came to settle in SA,but I haven't been able to make the connection as I didn't have Cornelius' Christian name then.

All I know is that he was a cousin to Honora Ann Hurley/Annie Harley.
None of his brothers were called Cornelius, though.
I need to look at his father's family...he was also called Denis.
