My AncestryDNA results
« on: Wednesday 20 May 15 19:38 BST (UK) »
I have just received some results for my AncestryDNA test, some of my 23andMe matches seem to be in those results, plus these are my ethnicity results (I'm mostly English, with some Irish, Welsh and Scottish, whilst two of my maternal great great grandfathers are unknown) -

38% Europe West (range 11-64%)
27% Ireland (range 10-45%)
26% Great Britain (range ?-57%)
7% Scandinavia (range ?-23%)
Less than 1% Iberian Peninsula (range ?-4%)
Less than 1% Finland/Northwest Russia (range ?-2%)

I have 52 pages of matches, including at least one person I match with on 23andMe and a distant cousin who I've known of for some years now, Ancestry correctly identifying our link.

It's always good to have extra confirmation of your matches. Make sure you also add your results to the Family Tree DNA database using the free autosomal DNA transfer programme:

https://www.familytreedna.com/learn/imports/transfer-autosomal-ancestry/family-tree-dna-family-finder-transfer-program/

You get your first 20 matches free and then you have to pay a small fee to unlock your remaining matches. However, you'll get different matches and different tools with each company.
Researching: Ayshford, Berryman, Bodger, Boundy, Cruse, Cruwys, Dillon, Faithfull, Kennett, Keynes, Ratty, Tidbury, Trask, Westcott, Wiggins, Woolfenden.

It is, and I've already got my 23andMe raw data on there, along with those of my brother.
