I'm trying to find the parents of Rosina (adopted name Cohen) Birth records show she was born in 1922 in Whitechapel to  a Millie Singer.  Records show that Millie married in 1921 to Solomon Linden  Not sure where to go from here.
Any help appreciated

Do you have her birth certificate or have you just found her entry in the indexes?

Do you have the marriage cert for Millie Singer and Solomon Linden of have you just found the record in the indexes?

It would be unusual for a child's birth registered in 1922 after a marriage in 1921 to be entered in the index where the surname at birth was the mothers maiden surname not her married surname even if the child was not Mr Linden's

As dawnsh said, unusual for naming the child, have you got the certificates?

Were you aware of the previous names of Millie and Solomon - all on same page?

They do not appear to be any other children - did she apply for her adoption records?

Millie and Solomon are on the ER's as Lauterstein together in 1926 in Tower Hamlets.

Legal adoption only began in 1926, so Rosina would have been 4 or 5 at least.

When was she adopted?

There are various records for marriage of Millie Singer in the 1920's in London - how do you know that the one you quote is the correct one?

Unfortunately I think the info I've been given is too loose so am now following another line of my friend's family.  My friend is away all week so will chase him up when he gets back.  I think the info I have on his side is prob more reliable.
Morris Cohen  1888-1963
wife: Annie Fishman from Poland   They had 6 children - Esther, Gertrude, Hyman, Jane, Jack D and Samuel.  I'm looking for Morris' father.  Have checked census and there are several Morris Cohens.  I do know that Morris and Annie got married in 1911 - 19 Feb in East London synagogue.  Can't find a record for this.  I was hoping that it would have the names of his parents on it.  There is some suggestion that his parents could be Hyman and Leah.  Thanks
