Hi, could anyone tell me how I go about getting a RAF number from WW2?  I want to obtain my uncles war record, as he maintained that he was a POW at Chiangi POW camp, Singapore.   However his sister says he was fighting in italy not Singapore.
Would it be through the Absent voters list?  If so would someone help me get my uncle's war record?  His name was Glynn Roberts born Glanyafron Terrace, Blaina, S.Wales 1921, parents name Sarah & Thomas John Roberts.  I live in Dorset and as I am disabled find it difficult to drive to South Wales.  Regards Trish
