Hi mk63ft
Family Search - Issue: AITKEN:
Parents: George AITKEN and Jane WILSONhttps://familysearch.org/searchSinclair - b Cranston 1855
Sinclair - b Cranston 1857
Mary - b Cranston, 1860
James Wilson - b Cranston 1862
Catherine Crookston - b Cranston 1864
Jane - b Cranston,1866
Margaret Johnston - b Cranston, 1868
Mary - b Cranston, 1871
Thomas Wilson b Stobhill, 1874
Right away this list indicates there were probably 1 or 2 born between Sep 1851 and 1855 - before the start of Civil Registration - and their absence on Family Search possibly indicates the family was non-conformist religion. The 1861 census (below) bears out the missing children probability - the 2 daughters, Elizabeth and Isabella.
The AITKENs in 1861

And by 1851, her father is deceased. Note - the grandaughter Elisabeth AIKUNE below, is undoubtedly Elisabeth AITKEN, the first born of Jane and George - likely born to the couple, but on the wrong side of the marriage blanket!
