Surname Bogue
« on: Tuesday 02 June 15 22:46 BST (UK) »
Hello, does anyone know anything about the surname of Bogue,(Irish). My Grandfather's sister was married to a Francis or Frank Bogue, he was the son of an Irish Cattle dealer also i think Frank or Francis. There is a playing field near were i live  Known as Car Bogey welsh for Bogue's field it's were he would graze his cattle in a break in the journey from Ireland, and apparently he left it for local people in his will for recreational purposes and not to be built on, and it hasn't to this day.I wonder if they know of this. Dave Hughes.

Hello i was surprised to see how many people with the surname Bogue after reading the messages on this site. The only one's i ever heard of was the family of my GrandAunt's husband Francis Bogue Jnr, incidentally  he had five brothers and a sister. I have never heard of any Bogue's locally since this family. Francis Bogue Snr was born in Ireland that is all i know, i just wondered if any of them was interested in genealogy.
