Archie Wilson from Droit
« on: Thursday 04 June 15 17:57 BST (UK) »
Anybody know anything about my Great Uncle Archibald Wilson born in the townland of Droit Newtownstewart Co Tyrone in N Ireland in 1869. I believe he was in Royal Artillery. I know nothing about his time in the army.

Can you briefly summarise the scope of what you already know, in order to avoid nugatory work?

I know nothing else other than he was in the Royal artillery. I'd like to know a little about his service record and if he came home safe and sound. His father's name was Henry born 1817 died 1885 that's all l know. If any body can add any more they have my thanks. Droit and Gortin are probably keywoods in any search for him, these are town lands and villages he would have known.
