On behalf of a friend, I am researching this family. The following is all the information I have been provided with:

The Argus (Melbourne), 21 October 1937.
Deaths. ADAMSON.
On 13th October at the residence of his daughter, Mrs R Shrape, Joseph Thomas ADAMSON, the dearly loved father of Blanche (Dec), Emily (Dec), Ruby and brother of Ted and Bill. Aged 87.
UNQUOTE

Daughter's surname may be SHARPE as opposed to Shrape. It is believed parents William and Mary (m.s. WALKER) ADAMSON did not emigrate.

The following may be William (Bill) Henry who was noted as "shoe maker" in London on the 1881 Census.

I will attempt to discover what business was conducted by Joseph Ellis and Sons of 210 Flinders Lane, Melbourne.  FOUND - Plumbing supplier/manufacturer.
