COMPLETED Pheobe Ellen Ferniough
« on: Saturday 13 June 15 10:08 BST (UK) »
Hi

I was hoping that some could look for a Baptism record for a Pheobe Ellen Ferniough.

She appears in the following Census

1851 Colshaw , Hollinsclough (visitor) aged 7 living with Ellen Lomas Farmer
1861 Colshaw, Hollinsclough (boarder) aged 17 living with Ellen Lomas Farmer

Her place of birth is given as Leek in the 1861/71/81/91 census
The 1851 Census says she was born Derby
She marries at Earl Sterndale in 1864 to an Isaac Wain and gives her age as 20 but does not provide a name for her father.

I presume her birth year is around 1843/44

I presume she is Illegitimate

I have been unable to find a baptism record for her on free reg nor a birth certificate  on Staffordshire BMD that fits the years 1843/44

Though I did find the entries below on Staffordshire BMD.

1839  Ellen Fernihough               Norton
1841   Ellen Fernihough               Norton
1841  Phoebe Ann Fernihough    Ipstones
1842 Phebe Fernihough               Audley

If anyone could have a look at other sources other than free reg for a baptism record for her, I would be grateful.

Thanks for that, however I think my Phoebe was farmed out at an early age as I have no reference to a mother and especially father.
