Thanks again. I have the Sapstead link, and I had the merchant records for Daniel...I was just trying to tie him into Alice...and with your help that is now done!.

Robert Bone Glen was born 1901 and Christina Bone was born 1890....that seems a bit odd?  I have her down in Harrow in 1911 still, and unmarried.   Is there a marriage date for Christine and Peter Glen please??

I have tried to look on Scotlands People but can not see the record when I click on it, so have wasted all my credits  ???. Obviously it doesn't work on IE or Crome....?

Scotlands People has the marriage of Peter Glen and Christine Bone - Rothesay - 1893 but that's all the info you get for 1 credit - don't think its worth wasting another 5 credits - since it is not the right match for your Christine.

Noticed you added this piece to your last post - Scotlands People worked fine for me with Internet Explorer.  ???

You need to sign in then go to 'My Details' at the top of the page at Scotlandspeople.  Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the options for downloading images - I use the option 'direct download'.

Middle names such as the one in this example  can often be the mothers maiden name.

Sometimes the grandmothers maiden name.

They can be very helpful, particularly when they are rare or unusual surnames.
