CaroleW, marriage certificates were not around until 1st January 1855, therefore there will not be one for Christina's marriage in 1853. If auntiebertie finds Christina's  death certificate it should state her parent's names. A search for the family in the 1841 & 1851 censuses will help as well.

1 credit shows me Christina nee Craig / Gordon died in 1901 - St Machar Dist - Aberdeen - 168/02/1290 (already got the father on the marriage so won't go the other 5 credits on this one)
Curiousity got the better of me and the death cert showed mother as Anna nee Robertson (deceased)
Anc tree shows burial - 30 Dec 1901 - Allanvale Cemetery, Aberdeen.

Thanks Sandra et al. I've got the hang of it now I think.
Christina Craig died 26 Dec 1901 at 52 Loanhead Terr, Aberdeen.  Death reported by her daughter Margaret (now Mrs Moir which ties up with further research).  And her death cert confirms Alexander Craig and Ann Robertson as her parents.
