Were they the only Calvert family in that area at that time?  If there were others - you need to specify exactly which family you are referring to by giving names etc.

Rootschat has a "no living persons" policy so please do not post details of anybody who may still be alive

Www.freebmd.org.uk is a site transcribing the civil registration indexes for England and Wales.

It has a marriage for John T Calvert and Amy Powell in the September quarter of 1928 volume 10a page 1041 in the registration district of Houghton.

You can use these reference details to order the marriage certificate from the General Register Office:
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

You can see the couple have at least two children, by searching yourself on Freebmd. I won't list them here as they could easily still be living.

3 children born
1929 - 1930 - 1935 all boys
James L Calvert b 6th April 1929 died Sunderland 2006 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QV4C-5CY1
John Calvert b 23rd September 1930 died 1990 in Darlington   https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVZH-MN13
the 1935 birth of L***** Calvert doesn't show a death ...so he may well be still alive

There is a fourth Calvert child with Powell as mother's maiden name registered in 1937 - a little distance away from the others, but could be a sibling.
