KLAR ALTER
« on: Wednesday 17 June 15 19:16 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone, I am doing some research on my fiancé's family for her. This is her Grandfather's family. I would like to find out if anyone knows how many siblings Alter Klar had so I can research the siblings to find out who my fiancé's Great Grandfather is. Alter came over to the US in 1910 from Poland and he helped his nephew Leo come over from Poland. Alter's son Abraham was a cousin to Leon. Leon passed in 1970. Any information would be appreciated.

I presume this the family in Bronx, New York on census records from 1915-1940?  Do you have Alter's death record?  It looks like a lot of the children were born outside the US in the early 1900's, so finding them on a passenger list could be revealing about the family that was still in Poland.

First - a warm welcome to Rootschat.

Click on link and search on alter klar - ensuring drop down menu is set to "the exact phrase". Should return 1 hit for Daily Argus - click on the title highlighted in blue.
Will display page and item is headed "Autos Injure Two Persons".

Notice on the bottom of the page it says "My father is to sick to come out and register and the above is him -  Abraham.
