Help needed
« on: Wednesday 17 June 15 22:46 BST (UK) »
Hello :)
I have been on here before and found a great deal of help and managed to find out about my ancestors on ancestry.com (some going back to the 1600's) but the one I am really stuck with is my mum- her father died a few years back, and her mother when my mum was young and I wanted to find out more about her family, all we know is:-
Her name is jennifer wright, born 15th October 1964 to antony and Gladys boote (nee Kershaw) she had a stepsister Christine (from gladys precious marriage to Ken Berry) who Is deceased and an Aunty Eileen (possibly deceased) and there are no hints on ancestry so I am really scratching my head and thought I would come to the experts on here!
Any help would be much appreciated from me and my mum
Thank you

There is a public tree on Ancestry suggesting birthdates and parents for Anthony and Gladys - perhaps worth a look? But never accept material from other people's trees without satsfying yourself that it is right.

There is the previous marriage to Kenneth Berry Macclesfield Jul-Sep 1949 Vol 10a Page 1020..Again that marriage certificate might reveal details of the parentage of Gladys or perhaps there are useful witness names that may provide clues.
Certainly her birth certificate will tell you something - again Macclesfield Oct-Dec 1929 Vol 8a, page 143. Right now we know her mother's maiden name was Sykes.

Hopefully from there you can find her parents in the 1911 census and from there on teh task becomes easier.
Southern or Southan [Hereford , Monmouthshire & Glos], Jenkins, Meredith and Morgan [Monmouthshire and Glos.], Murrill, Damary, Damry, Ray, Lawrence [all Middx. & London], Nethway from Kenn or Yatton. Also Riley and Lyons in South Africa and Riley from St. Helena.

Hi

Did Gladys die in 1965 and Anthony in 2010?

If so - Gladys was born 1931 and Anthony 1934

That must be an addition from my brother on the tree, but we have no idea how to go back any further than that
