Electoral Role 1918 - 1925
« on: Thursday 18 June 15 19:28 BST (UK) »
Hi All

Just wondering what the protocol was for who was or was not included on the electoral rolls for after WW1.  (ie just head of house or both husband and wife).

In 1918 I can find my great grandparents both listed.  Nothing for 1919.  For 1920 just him and for 1921 just her.  There seems to be no continuity.

Thanks

People were only included if they had registered to vote.
This guide provides background information on 'Registers of Electors' including how they came about and developed, their format, possible sources of inaccuracies in the registers, dates, etc.
