Maycock

I am searching for information on Catherine Maycock.  Here is what I have Catherine was born May 31, 1835 in Dublin.  She had a brother  John.  A fellow researcher has given me the follow story:

Catherine had a brother, John Maycock, the following is family lore: their
step-mother was unkind to them and as the story goes John had all he could
take, so he took the step-mother and dumped her head first into a rain
barrel.  He took his sister, Catherine with him to the U.S. and settled in
Brandywine, PA.
James Conway lived in Brandywine where he met Catherine.  John Maycock
decided to go to Nubby Port (sp.?), Mass. and take his sister.  She did not
want to go and ran away.  James and Catherine were married soon after and
moved to Shepherds Town, VA (now W.Va.).
James had a unique method of processing wool.  He built a woolen mill and
was very successful.  He was in the army (CSA?/USA?)and died of disease.
Catherine married Samuel Fetzer soon after.

Can anyone find me any information about Catherine.

Hi,

There is someone else looking for Catherine on the ancestry boards. (Is this you?)

In fact Google DUblin Maycock born and there quite a few interesting looking hits.

Have you checked the Dublin Directories for Maycocks? Or the Griffiths Valuation?
