look for my dad (*) Gould
« on: Tuesday 23 June 15 14:07 BST (UK) »
Hi my name is Marsha. I am looking for (*) Gould my dad who lived at Broadway Davyhulme Manchester. with his son and daughter before moving to Australia in 1964 some time after I was born. My Mother looked after his children back then. My mother was called jean and my grandparents lived not far from (*) the last I remember of him coming to England was in 1977 he found our address through family members  I was 13yrs old when my dad called to our home in daisy Avenue. but my mother pushed me back in the hallway as I did not know at time he was my dad but was told later by family and have been trying trace him since. My son his also trying to my dad through the Australian Immigration records I would love to hear from anyone who knows of my dad his wife was called Marjorie but I believe as passed away.

« Reply #1 on: Tuesday 23 June 15 20:19 BST (UK) »
:) my name is Marsha I am looking for my dad (*)GOULD who moved to AUSTRALIA in 1964  with his son who would be about 10yrs and daughter was about 8yrs at the time of leaving ENGLAND my dad's wife was called Marjorie but Sadley passed away at the time before moving DAD had someone staying at his home address called (*) on BROADWAY DAVYHULME.  family member's say dad was working with customs at the time of leaving ENGLAND to Emigrate to AUSTRALIA.  My mother name was Jean CLARKE and my grandparent lived at BEXLEY CLOSE DAVYHULME. near BROADWAY. My mother Jean looked after Frank's children for a while then went on to have me march 1964 but for some unknown reason my mother would not allow my dad to see me and my mother carried this on for many years I believe.   my dad got our  address in 1977 when he came to ENGLAND from a family member when we lived at DAISY AVENUE I was 13yrs then but my mother pushed back into the hallway but I did not know at the time that he was my dad. I do believe my mother broke his heart my family told me but I have been left heart broken because I have been robbed of a dad that my mum would not allow my dad to see me and I have always felt something of not belonging. so I would dearly love to hear from anyone who know's of my dad (*) GOULD. :)

Hello, and welcome to RootsChat!

RootsChat is meant for finding ancestors, rather than living relatives.

Personal details of any people known or thought to be living will be removed, in accordance with RootsChat policy, to avoid spamming and other abuses. So people here will be able to give you general tips and hints how to proceed, but not any concrete details.

You will also find more tips here:

Topic: Tracing Living Relatives

and

If you have a look at the Australia board, you will find links to resources there such as the Ryerson newspaper index and electoral registers

Please be aware though, that Australia has strict privacy laws regarding living people.

Good luck!
