Hi, I'm trying to trace my father, who was in royal navy I have his forces number, along with name DOB etc. I've looked on social media, to no avail. I've not seen him or had any contact since the age of 2 ish.

Here on Rootschat we don't look for living people only those that are deceased.

If you have his service number, his name and date of birth you could always write to the Naval head quarters asking for records.

Service records for any military personnel serving after 1920 are still with the MOD.
