Mary Ann Armitage born 1875 & trying to find her before her marriage in 1894 is a nightmare, in the census for 1901 & 1911 it says shes born in Chapel Hill Boston. Her father on her marriage cert is named as George Yates, she married Albert Roberts. im at a loss with this.

Which order do the names come in? 

Yates - Armitage - Roberts so she had been married before  ???

Was it 1894 she married Albert Roberts?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Her witnesses where Lizzie Roberts & Harry Strawson. Lizzie  was her sister in law

Not married before as her name Armitage is on birth certs, yes 1894

So the mystery is the father named Yates.  Maybe her mother was widowed when she was young and she thought of step father as her father?
