Rootschat on iPhone and iPad
« on: Thursday 25 June 15 13:47 BST (UK) »
I don't like using the full version of rootschat on my iPhone or iPad.  Yesterday when I looked at rootschat on both my iPhone and iPad I am now seeing the full version...same on OH's phone.  How do I change back to the mobile version?

I have exactly the opposite problem whereas I prefer the full version on iPad and it occasionally reverts to the mobile version. Scrolling down to the bottom; which is a long way down on the mobile version, reveals a button which takes me to the "real" version but there doesn't seem to be a similar facility on the full version.

Thanks for your response but I would really like help with how to revert to the 'mobile' version :).

I sometimes have the same problem as Ray, I prefer the full version on my iPad. Have you tried logging out completely and back in again?

Go to settings and click on safari. Then click on clear history and website data.
The go to the rootschat page and log in, it usually comes up as the mobile site.

Hi Cando,

We have turned off the "old blue mobile version" after making changed to make the main site reactive to mobile/tablet.

Regards

Sarah :)

I've never found a problem using the main site on an iPad. The only issue I have encountered is with links too close to the edge of the screen which are easy to open unintentionally.

The problem with the mobile version is its bland, uniform appearance, which makes it difficult to see where you are, especially if you're used to the main site on other platforms.

I appreciate that there may be others who like it.
