I believe the Ernest is wrong as the informant for the death entry had a couple of mistakes. He seems to be referred to only as William in the UK but has William Albert on his marriage entry.

I believe he is a different William. Born the same year. I saw a Golden Wedding notice for this couple who settled in South Australia.

Maybe I need to follow the paths of his siblings. May have went somewhere with one of them?

Hi Christine,
I tried twice yesterday to post on your data request and both attempts failed. Apparently this was because of many other posts being made.
Anyway, just to let you know that the maiden name of William BENFIELD's mother was HAINES, registered in the Stow-on-the-Wold Registration District, f. John, m. Eleanor.
