Venables Family Camberwell
« on: Friday 03 July 15 18:45 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I have just started tracing my family tree of Venables
I noticed that there have been some topics of James and Emily Hennel

My Grandfather was Sidney Richard Venables who Married Ada Madeline Copley.
My Dad was Harry James Venables Son of Sidney and Ada.

Sidney Richard first wife Newhouse had a son named Sidney Richard Venables he is my Dads half brother.

If any one is tracing the Venables Family tree I sure could do with some help.

Thank you

No I am not related, but I did once shake the hand of Terry Venables, and saw him play!

So just exactly what help is it you are looking for?

Hi so as to get a guide for ages etc this is the family in 1891:-

James Venables 34 occ Iron Worker b Westminster
Emily 34 b Westminster
Alfred 13 b Wandsworth
Louisa 12 b Westminster
John 9 b Stockwell
Adeline 5 b Camberwell
Sydney 2 b Camberwell
Residing at Hollington Street, Camberwell
Census Ref Rg12/487/101/50

I see that their must have been some sort of problem with the likely marriage of the couple?

28th November 1877 St John the Evangelist, Lambeth James Venable/Emily Hamell both Full age and then it states " Marriage not proceeded with"

Hi again, he is a hard man to pin down prior to 1891 census, but appears to stick to pob of Westminster, also I cannot locate at present the baptisms of Alfred b c 1877/8 Wandsworth or Louisa b c 1878/9 Westminster, but note the baptism of Adeline Maud KINNIARD Venables 2nd March 1886 St John the Divine, Kennington, Father James occ General Dealer Mother Emily abode 11, Sultan? Street
