I can't see any connection between these McBrides (Raloo district, Co.Antrim) and the ones in the earlier topic (McBrides, Magherafelt district)  :-\

This might be connected-
McBride, Alexander of Ballyedward Magheramorne county Antrim farmer died 15 December 1962 at Moyle Hospital Larne county Antrim Administration Belfast 6 February to Emily Burns widow. Effects £470 13s.
This Alexander McBride was 76 years old when he died in 1962 (so born 1886). Thiis family has an Alexander the right age with sister Emily-

and here with ages out a bit-

Hi, was looking about and found the following.

Death:
Alexander Burns
died 21 Feb 1896
wife Mary Burns
residence:Ballyhone,Glynn,Antrim (which matches with details on marriage)

1901 census:
Ballyhone,Glynn,Antrim

Mary Burns  age 40  head of house  Presbyterian  born Antrim  farmer  widow
Alexander Burns  age 18 son Presbyterian born Antrim
Samuel Burns age 16 son  Presbyterian  born Antrim
John Burns  age 13 son Presbyterian  born Antrim
Archie Burns  age 9  son  Presbyterian  born Antrim
Hugh Burns  age 6  son  Presbyterian  born Antrim

1911 census
Ballyhone,Glynn,Antrim

Alexander Burns  age 28 head of house farmer
Samuel Burns  age 25  brother  imbecile
John Burns  age 23  brother  labourer
Hugh Burns  age 16  brother  farm worker

The mother Mary died between 1901-1911. On GRONI, there are quite a few Mary Burns death records none match too close with her being 40 in 1901- I'm thinking age may have been recorded wrong.

Births:
children of Alexander & Mary

Alexander
born 1882 Larne

Samuel
born 1885 Larne

John
born 1887 Larne

Annie
born 1889 Larne

Archibald
born 1892 Larne

Hugh
born 1894 Larne

**even tho' Annie does not appear in the census,I found her by reading the will of her father Alexander which an be found on the website www.proni.gov.uk/ in the will calendars.

Marriage:
Non Subscribing Presbyterian  25 June 1880 district:Larne
Glenarm  parish:Tickmacrevens  county:Antrim
groom:Alexander Burns
full age
bachelor
occ:farmer
address:Magheramorne
father:Alexander Burns (dec) farmer
bride:Mary Burns
minor
spinster
address:Ballylesson
father:Samuel Burns farmer
married in 1st Presbyterian meetinghouse
witnesses:Ephraim Craig & Lizzie Burns

I will get back to you about Emily's family.Hope this helps,Kim

Kim- it's much easier to read a post if it's not too long with so many spaces and you've mis-transcribed the census incorrectly but using the details you've already found-

Alexander Burns (d.21 Feb.1896), son of Alexander (d.bef.1880), m.(1880) Mary Burns (c1861-aft.1901), dau. of Samuel.
Note: Mary Burns was minor in 1880 so age in 1901 census probably not far off.
Letters of Administration (with the Will) of the personal estate of Alexander Burns late of Ballyhone Glynn County Antrim Farmer who died 21 February 1896 were granted at Belfast to Mary Burns of Ballyhome the Widow
     www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Glynn/Ballyhone/994644
     www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Glynn/Ballyhome/194709
1.   Alexander (7 Oct.1882-aft.1911)
Burns Alexander of Ballyhone Gleno county Antrim farmer died 7 October 1944 at Larne District Hospital county Antrim Probate Belfast 11 December to Hugh Burns joiner and John McGookin farmer. Effects £830 12s.
2.   Samuel (7 Jan.1885-aft.1911)
3.   John (6 Sept.1887-aft.1911)
4.   Annie (2 Dec.1889)
5.   Archibald (7 Jan.1892)
6.   Hugh (9 June 1894-aft.1911)

Possibly Alexander Burns' father-
The Will of Alexander Burns late of Ballyhone County Antrim Farmer deceased who died 28 December 1875 at same place was proved at Belfast by the oath of John Burns of Newlands in said County Farmer the Executor. Will mentions farm to son Alexander, wife, daughter Annie, son Archibald, daughter Margaret, daughter Bessie.

Hi Aghadowey, I leave the spaces to make it easier to read and to lesson confusion. As to the census, I reviewed what I had enclosed in the post and the information from the census was not mistranscribed. I included the most relevant parts figuring that the census would be looked at anyway by the person looking for information ie knowing they can read or write does not help in finding a parent that's why I didn't include that but everything else was correct. I appreciate any advice but unwarranted criticism is another thing.

Alex not Alexander. Last night I thought you had Archibald instead of Archie?
Also, the original only lists a birthplace for head of household  :)

If you must type out the census details perhaps also post a link to let others see what you've found?
