Many thanks Jo for all your work. I have been so frustrated with this lady. The only info I have on her is her marriage certificate 21 Oct 1856 this states her father was John Collins a basket maker, and we all know how truthful they could be, and that she was 19 years old. The witnesses were her husbands brother and his wife, so no help there. The 1861 census states her birth place as Whitechapel and she was 22 years old, and this could just be where she thought she was born. Some of her court cases refer to her as "Irish" now could this be because she had an accent? Otherwise how would anyone know, as her maiden name Judson is not Irish.

Death certificate arrived...  She died 15th September 1867 in the Union Workhouse aged 26 her rank or profession is "unknown to informant" she died of Broncho pneumonia 4 weeks certified. Registered by J Eggleston in attendance Union workhouse, the word under this looks like  "Litchinch"  ???

Her age is a few years out for my Catherine, but if her occupation was not known would her age have been? The date works with the last sighting of her on 8th Feb 1867. Ok guess this has given me a push, so Derby newspapers next! Many thanks for the help. I am not counting this one out...yet  ;)

Probably Litchurch.

Cemetery record says
Abode at time of death - Workhouse
Parish in which abode situate - Litchurch

An occupation, for what it's worth, is given in the burial register.
Re the two names on the burial entry, Sarah Walker, a tramp, does get a few mentions in Lincolnshire newspapers in 1866/7. Then they cease after April 1867?
Drunkenness, obscene language, prison.
Perhaps not in the same towns as the Catherine newspaper items. Could she have been known in some places as Sarah Walker, and in others as Catherine Judson? :-\
