The Mills Family of Bermondsey
« on: Tuesday 14 July 15 07:11 BST (UK) »
I am new to RootsChat and this is my first posting. I am trying to find anyone related to the Mills family from Bermondsey, South East London. I am particularly interested in the descendants of Alfred Edwin Mills, born in Folkestone in 1907, Edward Victor Mills, born in Camberwell in 1909, Florence Maud Mills, born in Peckham in 1912 and Bert Mills, born in Bermondsey in 1915. The mother of these children, Maud Evelyn Mills, formerly Holloway, re-married in 1929. She married Arthur Edward Heelass in Bermondsey and she remained in the area until her death in Deptford in 1962. I would appreciate any help finding the descendants of any of the above. Thanks.  :

Hi haysee01

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

RootsChat is meant for finding ancestors, rather than living relatives but people here will be able to give you general tips and hints how to proceed, but not any concrete details.

You will also find more tips here:

Topic: Tracing Living Relatives
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,261434.0.html
and

We have a 'no living people' policy here so people should contact you by using the personal message system if they recognise the names. You need one more post to be able to send and receive messages.

Also, have you checked our 'surname interests' table? The link is in the dark brown area at the bottom of the screen, also here http://surname.rootschat.com/

Hope this helps.
