Hello can anyone please help  ??? Bertha Gorman born 11th October 1883 Tyldesley Atherton Lancashire mother Susannah Gorman was Jervis father John gorman coal miner.
Bertha Gorman married Samuel Harrison 1902 Holy Trinity church Ashton under Lyne.
  Cannot find a marriage for her parents her father was born in Dukinfield Cheshire her mother was born in Tyldesley Lancashire. Any help would be great.

Eliza A Gorman 1878  Henry 1883 Benjamin 1888 John Thomas 1880
. I have found them on 1891 census living in Ashton under Lyne but it has Owen Gorman and Mary has the parents John Gorman  is down has single ?
 I found a marriage from 1877 John Gorman Mary Jarvis in Stalybridge Cheshire  ???
Benjamin Gorman born 1888 parents are down has John Gorman Susannah jervis ???

I think 1891 may be a case of the enumerator mixing John and Owen up - I cannot find a marriage for Owen, and he seems single on 1881.

Will look further but is it possible that Mary was Mary Susannah Jervis/Jarvis and she varied which name she used on official documents ?

Susannah Jervis b c1858 in Tyldesley has parents John & Susannah in 1861. can't find them on 1871 (mother dies 1880 by the looks) or an obvious birth for her.

I have the marriage certificate for Mary and John 1877 Stalybridge Cheshire Marys father John Jarvis collier John Gorman father William Gorman minder.

It doesn't help with the marriage of John and Susannah but there is a birth reg for Susannah Jervis 1858 Atherton mother's maiden name Thomas.
