This might be your Mother's grandfather in 1861, but you need certificates to confirm:
Living at Bridgwater  North Petherton  Somerset
Oliver Chard   43  married  ag lab  North Petherton, Somerset,
Joseph Chard   13
Oliver Chard   11
Elizabeth Chard   8
John Chard   5
Richard Henry Chard   3
Mary Selway   77  mother
RG 9   Piece 1622    Folio 63    Page 26

and in 1851
North Petherton     Bridgwater  Stowey
Oliver Chard   33  Church Tawnton, Devon
E Chard   27  Bridgwater
H Chard   6 North Petherton
P Chard   4
J Chard   2
O Chard   7 Mo
M Selway   73  mother-in-law  widowed pauper  Aller Somerset
I Forse   30
 HO107    Piece 1924    Folio  333    Page  18

So you have 'Esquire' in one family, and agricultural labourers in the other family.

Thank you for your help
Is this your Mother's parents' marriage?

Marriages September quarter 1917
Richard Chard                    Bedwellty    11a   198
 Agnes M   Hutchings    Bedwellty    11a   198

If correct marriage and he born around 1899, he would have been about 18 when he married?
,Is this your Mother's parents' marriage?
