How long are you staying for & what era as it may not be named that now  ???

It may just have been a name (named by the family) for their cottage rather than the actual name but of course that's just a thought  ???

Only staying a few days. Don't know what district of Inverness it is. It's on the West side of the river, just north of the cathedral.

Maybe try local Council Offices as some street names have changed over the years.

What era is it, was it recent or a while ago.

If it's not recent you could post details of names, ages, occupations as they may be in the directories but would need the details to find them which may give an actual house no.  ???

I've had a look in several Inverness Burgh Directories and have seen only one entry that is near to that name......

"1923/24....Kenneth Street, West Side, #1 Mrs Ross, GLENBEG"

Can you let us know exactly who you are looking for, and the timescale?

If the cottage was named "Glenelg" by the owners, the sign might still be there on the wall so maybe a walk along the street & a chat with the neighbours?

My daughter bought a house which has a plaque with a name for the house & although the previous owners used that as part of the address, my daughter doesn't but the plaque is still on the wall..............well for the time being  :P
