https://familysearch.org has a number of records for this family, showing they came from Shetland.

e.g. birth and death of Elizabeth/Lizzie:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FQ7S-FX8
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KFHN-51X

I think this is their arrival in 1872 into NY:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVR3-66RN

A few Williamsons on the same page; there seems to be a William Williamson, aged 36, travelling with them - brother of Thomas?  And at the top Janet Williamson and children, her husband Robert is on the previous page.

There is also an excellent website called Seeking Michigan which has some very useful records, primarily death certificates, although the search engine can be a bit funny:

father Thomas:

mother Mary:

son Thomas:

Parents of Janet Mouat/Williamson were Thomas Mouat and Barbara Sinclair (hence the reference to Sinclair in the next generation of children)

(Spelling of the Mouatt surname could also be Mowatt/Mowat)
