Fishing Vessel " BAND of HOPE "
« on: Tuesday 21 July 15 13:54 BST (UK) »
Hi, Has any one out there got any information on the above vessel, I know she was out on Hastings Port of Rye, and I have a record of her in the 1881 census which was take in Plymouth Devon.
I have an ancestor Thomas Adams who I think was a crew member.

  Many thanks  Baloo

Hello baloo

Found Band of Hope docked up.1881 census.

There is a Thomas Adams,22,Fisherman born Hastings,a Crew member,

Skipper George Diton.

Have you the book " Fisherman of Hastings",200 years of the Fishing community by  Steve Peak. Its seems a Reuben Diton was owner of the Boat.

Hope  the above helps

Kind regards
