Just can't find a marriage for James Hattwell to Sarah A to see what her name was.  Have tried different spellings like Attwell but  ???

Not getting anywhere with the Goodenoughs either sorry.  There only seems to be a son William from a prev marriage? who marries Harriet Ann in 1877.

I have started a Topic on the Armed Forces board for George.

This looks likely for Emma's christening

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NFYR-4PP

Perhaps Ellen Miles became Ellen Goodenough. Ellen Tidmarsh from Blunsdon was a widow before she married Robert Goodenough (at Lechlade in 1871), but I can't find her previous marriage.

Emma's mother seems to have been Ellen Shewry, daughter of  James and Dorothy, baptised Broad Blunsdon 1830.
She married Henry Miles, Highworth RD, 1850.
In 1851 they were with his parents Charles and Elizabeth Miles at Minety and had a daughter Mary.
Henry presumably died before Emma's christening in 1854.
In 1858 Ellen - as Helen Miles - married Thomas Titmarsh (Highworth RD) and in 1861 was living with him at Eastleach Martin in Gloucestershire, with daughters Emma 6 and Sarah Ann 1. They have surname Tidmarsh in the census but presumably Emma should be Miles.

In 1871 she was a widow in Lechlade, with a daughter Catherine aged 9.

In 1877 she married Robert Goodenough.

Sarah Ann Tidmarsh married James Huttell in 1877.

That explains the Goodenough and Hatwell connections.

Oh bravo for finding all that out.  And for finding the marriage of James to Sarah A under Huttell.

So the George grandson and nephew is the one Muffin41 is looking for.

Thank you David for your research and finding the answer. :D

Now I can find out more and fill in some gaps in my own research.

For what its worth there is a John Moger living at 24 Percy Terrace East Twerton Bath in the 1895 Post Office Bath Directory.
