She was born in Hole in Wall near Brampton A.  Eventually they moved to Weston Under Penyard because Alice marriage certificate to David Waters in 1917 confirms this  :).  It may be she was christened not in parish....haven't explored this .....

Three points;-

George Bick (senior) then is admitted into Burghill (admission records confirm) in January 1914,
                 ------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile Alice gets pregnant with Kathleen in August/September 1913
                -------------------------------------------------------
Kathleen is born, with no middle name, takes the surname Bick, and is not christened.
                -------------------------------------------------------

      George Bick could well be the father of Kathleen given these dates.
      Of course, even if they were living together he still may not have been the father.

She may not have been christened. This is not the same thing as her birth not being registered, which was a legal requirement.

Yes she could be George's and maybe the shame that he was in the asylum was just too much that she didn't registrar..... Except its been passed down that she was illegitimate and Alice didn't hide that fact apparently.  George didn't of insanity due to a blow to head four years before (!!!???) On death certificate.

sophiewilliams answered that earlier;
"My grandma got married herself and that marriage certificate leaves father details blank.  Very frustrating!"

I think next course of action maybe to look at electoral rolls for 1913/14/15 & 16...see where Alice and the girls were living, might give a clue ???
