well we do know that the grandparents of George Luce Dupre b 1896 Southampton were
James J Dupre b 1848 Jersey and Lydia b 1849 Channel Islands....but what was Lydias maiden name ??

Thanks Chempat - those records show a Mr Luce - so I wonder if Lydia's Maiden name was Luce - thus James J Dupre and Lydia named their son

How did you get on with your search.  I am the grand daughter of Florence Eliza Dupre - daughter of:
2nd wife of Arthur Walter Dupre (1888) Rosetta Fanny Eastwell (1869-1925).
I am totally fascinated by the family tree, it is so detailed on Jerripedia.  It would be great to update it with George's info after he went to Australia.
I know your post is old but hope you are still looking for answers.

Hi Edean, I received the birth certificate and was able to apply for the ancestry visa :). I would love to travel to Jersey eventually but need to save some $$$. Where are you based?

I am in Lincolnshire, UK.  Yes it would be great to visit Jersey.  It isn't really that far from here.

Hi
George Luce Dupré was born in 1872. He was a perfumer producing Eau-de-Cologne in Jersey. He married my Great Aunt Kate Walker in 1895 and died in 1948. There son George Luce (nicknamed Laddy) was born in 1896.
