« on: Friday 31 July 15 04:42 BST (UK) »
Hi, good evening,

Is anyone in the Troy area?
I'd like to obtain a copy of a death certificate, from Troy City Hall, if this is possible?

Thanks!!
Glen  :)

There are multiple cities in the US called Troy.  Which state are you looking for?

Apologies, I didn't realise.

What is the year of death of the person you were interested in getting the death certificate for?

Are you directly related to the decedent or is there some other legal reason you need the death certificate?

What information were you hoping to get from the death certificate?  Perhaps we can suggest another source for you to get this information that does not involve paying a fee.

You will have a few challenges to getting this document since you apparently live overseas and would you be able to pay for the death certificate order with an international money order?

Here is a link that will be of interest to you:

http://www.troyny.gov/Departments/VitalStatistics/DeathRecords.aspx

Look at the bottom of the webpage where it says "FORMS:  Download Death Record Request Form | PDF " and click on the PDF link to look at the order form to view the requirements.

Click on the CONTACT US link at the bottom of the webpage so you can get their phone number or contact them via e-mail if you prefer.
