The 50th Anniversary
« on: Monday 11 July 05 03:17 BST (UK) »
If someone could do some fixing on this one - I would be very appreciative. I have a higher res photo that I can email if required.

The photo was taken 1898 - The couple married in Middlesex in 1848 and came to Australia 1850. The lady in the centre back is my g grandmother, married at 18 and had 10 children.

Hi Trish, I don't know if tis is what your after but I put an old style backdrop in and put a sepia tone over it. The image was a bit noisy after adjusting the brightness and contrast so I ran the neat image filter clean it up a bit. The down side is the photo becomes a bit blurry.

Just fabulous - thank you so much!!!

Trish

I mainly wanted a photo for printing in my "origins" book & this suits perfectly. Would the blurring be better if you had a higher res picture to start with?? I can't believe that folks can do this - makes one wonder about what else in our world people change  ;D  ;D  ;D

Many thanks Ken

All this work is much appreciated. The original is very tattered & I have no idea why the left remained dark while the remainder faded?

I also am a little worried about the "happy couple". Mum looks most nervous & they rather look like they have spoken to each other much for the past 20 years or so!

The children all seem more cheerful about the event
